Everything we do in our children’s ministry at First Baptist is to help your child CONNECT with God and others, GROW in their faith and relationship with Jesus, LEARN about God, and LOVE God and others. All our activities are planned with these four goals in mind.
Nursery
Nursery is provided for infants (at least 6 weeks old) through age 3. We have a wonderful staff that helps care for our little ones during church activities on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights as well as for special church events. Safety procedures are in place for screening both paid staff and volunteers in our nursery and the children’s ministry as a whole.
Sunday School
We use Orange Curriculum for all our children’s Sunday School classes. Check out their app for parents called Parent Cue. It provides simple cues throughout the week to help you connect what your child is learning at church with everyday moments at home.
Worship
We offer several options for children during worship, including nursery (ages 3 and younger) and children’s church (ages 4 through second grade). Children of all ages are also welcome to worship in the sanctuary with the rest of our congregation. Worship bags are available with activities to help them stay engaged in a developmentally appropriate way. For more information about worship click here.
CAM3
CAM3 and CAM3jr meet on Wednesday nights during the school year from 5:30-7:00pm. CAM3jr is designed for younger children in PreK and Kindergarten; CAM3 is designed for 1st – 5th graders. Both of these programs use a rotation model where children go to centers such as Bible basics, worship arts, music, missions, games, etc.
