First Baptist Church is offering a free 13-week grief group beginning January 22nd on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:00 and will be led by Susan Greer, a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and a church member with personal experience in grief. We will be utilizing materials from the Christian-based Griefshare program while also engaging in group sharing and processing. The group will be closed (meaning that no additional members will be added after the close of sign up for the program to aid in group support and cohesiveness) and will be offered on a first come first serve basis to a maximum of 12 participants. A participant guide book can be purchased through the church office for $20. For additional information on this group, please feel free to email [email protected].
You are invited to attend the Wednesday open group “The Power of Boundary Setting” with Licensed Professional Counselor Debbie Malloy.
Using breath, movement, and mindfulness, we will work on de-stressing, finding an inner sense of calm, and building strength, flexibility, mobility, and stamina. We will incorporate prayer and readings to create a sacred space and help us feel more connected to God as we also deepen our connection to ourselves.
This is an open group. New participants are always welcome!
