What a great start to our new church year on Sunday! It was so exciting to see classes gathering together again – babies in the nursery, preschoolers, school-aged children, youth, and adults of all ages. Thanks to all teachers and group leaders who worked tirelessly to make it a memorable day. If you were not able to attend, don’t despair. That was just the beginning! Find a group and plug in. It is a great way to connect with others in our church family.

TWO NEW CLASSES FOR ADULTS THIS FALL
Lectio Divina
Mixed age adults – upstairs in the Benson Building
This new class will provide opportunities to meditate upon Scripture and pray together. We will learn and practice two methods of prayer: Lectio Divina and Centering Prayer. Using Lectio Divina the class will focus & meditate upon a passage of Scripture. The goal of Centering Prayer, a form of silent prayer, is to consent to God’s presence for a period of time. We will use one or both types of prayer each week.

Update from the Pastor Search Committee
The Pastor Search Committee had fantastic introductory conversations with the pool of candidates. Over the next month, the entire committee will interview each candidate. This is an exciting time, but please respect this is also a private and deliberate task we have at hand.
