Beloved Church:
It’s a rainy Wednesday, but I continue to celebrate the wonderful time I shared with our young adult community these past two Sundays in our listening sessions on Sunday, February 13th and 20th. Their participation in both attendance and sharing was strong. Our room was full and our conversation was deep! It gave such great insight into the next steps this community is to take as we initiate our plans for the future. As you read about them, I invite the entire church to continue to pray for this important ministry as we launch. I also ask that you continue to share the word to other young adults in our community – There is something special happening at First Baptist Church Carrollton for our young adult community! We want them to come and get involved!
- We will begin a Young Adult Sunday School class starting Sunday, March 6th! Our meeting space will be The McNabb Room in The Place.
- Each Sunday our time together will be based largely upon group discussion of scripture with a focus for life application for that scripture. I, along with Beau Luckie, will be leading these conversations!
- Our young adult ministry will be punctuated with times for gathering and fellowship in which we have fun and seek to invite friends. You will see these events advertised in the life of our church!
- The best is yet to come!
It’s an exciting time in the life of our church. I cannot wait to see what God will do with this age group specifically in this New Beginning. Join me in continuing to pray for the young adult community and that our church serves them well in Jesus’s name!
